Armory to host commissary sale

A military commissary case lot sale will be held March 9-11 at the National Guard Keaukaha Military Reservation armory gym, located near Hilo International Airport.

The sale will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday for military ID card holders only. From noon-5 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m.-noon on Sunday, authorized card holders will be allowed to sign in only two guests.

The Pearl Harbor Commissary is sponsoring this sale. More than 300 items will be sold by the case, including canned food items, paper products, toiletries, pet food, bakery and cold-chill foods.

All active-duty military personnel, reservists, military retirees and their families are eligible to purchase items. The proper military identification must be provided prior to entry onto the military reservation and Commissary store.

School looks for new enrollees

Connections Public Charter School is now accepting enrollment applications for kindergarten for the upcoming school year. Children whose birthdays are between Sept. 2, 2006, through Sept. 1, 2007, will meet the age qualifications for kindergarten according to Connection’s Local School Board Policy.
